At FileShiftly ("we", "our"), your privacy comes first — it's literally the foundation this site is built on. This policy explains what data we do and don't collect.

Your files never leave your device

All file conversions on FileShiftly happen entirely inside your web browser using JavaScript. Your images and documents are never uploaded to our servers, transmitted over the network, or stored anywhere. We couldn't see your files even if we wanted to — and we don't want to.

Information we collect

We intentionally collect as little as possible:

• Server logs: like virtually every website, our server records basic technical information (IP address, browser type, pages visited, timestamps) for security and diagnostics. These logs are not linked to your identity and are retained only as long as needed for operations.
• No accounts: we don't offer user accounts and don't ask for your name, email, or any personal details to use the converters.

Cookies and Google AdSense

We use Google AdSense to display advertisements that keep this service free. Google uses cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites:

• Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads based on your visit to our site and/or other sites on the Internet.
• You may opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings.
• Alternatively, you can opt out of third-party vendors' use of cookies for personalized advertising by visiting aboutads.info.

Third-party libraries

Some converters load open-source decoder libraries (for TIFF and HEIC files) from public CDNs. These libraries run locally in your browser; loading them does not send your files anywhere.

Children's privacy

Our service is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
